David K. Dafilou has extensive experience in managed care provider networks including physician, ancillary and hospital providers. His broad array of skills include, contracting, medical coverage policy, medical cost analysis, process improvement planning, and medical cost containment design and implementation.

Currently, Mr. Dafilou is responsible for managing projects in the practice areas of managed care financial policy and reimbursement analysis; managed care provider network analysis; payor coverage determinations for new medical technology; managed care contracting strategies; provider network development; pharmacy/PBM audits; revenue cycle reengineering; operations and utilization management; and educational seminars and skills training.

Prior to joining Presscott Associates, Mr. Dafilou was Director of Contracting and Provider Networks at AmeriHealth Insurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Independence Blue Cross. While at AmeriHealth, he had management responsibility for a provider network of over 80 hospitals and 15,000 physicians as well as several hundred ancillary providers. He directed cost containment strategies, NCQA credentialing compliance, claims service, budgets and planning. Mr. Dafilou has also had responsibility for provider networks in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. His experience encompasses the management of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid provider networks including regulatory compliance and reporting. Previous experience includes Business Development and Marketing for Honeywell Inc. and other Fortune 100 companies.

Mr. Dafilou received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He went on to obtain a Master of Science in Finance from Drexel University. Mr. Dafilou has received certificates of accomplishment from the Program on Negotiations at Harvard Law School and in Leadership Training from Rutgers University.
