David A. Gregory has a varied background in healthcare ranging from hospital operations management to managed care network development and underwriting/pricing to provider and life sciences reimbursement maximization. Currently, Mr. Gregory is responsible for directing projects for all client types, including hospitals, physicians, health plans and life sciences and technology companies. His practice area specialties include financial analysis and reimbursement modeling; strategic planning and marketing; new technology value analysis and reimbursement assessments; hospital revenue cycle reengineering; health plan medical expense reviews; and managed care contract negotiations. While employed at Presscott Associates, he has directed financial operations engagements for hospitals and health plans which have resulted in positive impacts for Presscott’s clients. In addition, he has directed numerous projects for life sciences and technology companies that have resulted in several reimbursement maximization tools for hospital and physician customers. Prior to joining Presscott Associates, Mr. Gregory was employed by The Prudential Insurance Company of America where he was responsible for network development for all of Prudential's managed care products in the Hudson Valley in New York. He also served as Prudential's regulatory liaison for New York and Connecticut, a Senior Underwriting Consultant for five of Prudential's largest managed care accounts, and the coordinator of Prudential's managed care feasibility study unit. Mr. Gregory’s previous experience also includes five years of institutional operations management at New York University Medical Center (“NYU”), New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center-Westchester Division (“NYH”) and the Westchester County Medical Center. His responsibilities there included fiscal analysis and operations management. Mr. Gregory received his Master of Public Administration in Healthcare Policy Analysis from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the College of Wooster in Ohio. He is an active member of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) and the Association of Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). He is also a Fellow (FACHE) with the American College of Health Care Executives and a “Distinguished Speaker” for the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Mr. Gregory has recently presented strategic and operational material at numerous association seminars, including several national AdvaMed meetings, the Investment in Innovation (In3) East Conference sponsored by MedTech Insight, HFMA’s Annual National Institute, and AHIP’s Business Forum. |
