ERIC S. FISHBEIN

Senior Consultant

Eric S. Fishbein brings a varied array of business and healthcare experience including HIPAA compliance training programs, as well as in-depth analytical skills in conjunction with manipulating large databases.

Currently, Mr. Fishbein is working on projects in the practice areas of: strategic planning and marketing; fee schedule analysis and data management services, including development of case rates and risk sharing arrangements; managed care financial policy and reimbursement analysis; network development, operations and utilization management; revenue cycle reengineering (including hospital chargemaster reviews) and educational seminars and skills training. More specifically, he has worked on numerous projects for hospitals, health plans and life sciences companies that require coding and billing expertise, new technology coverage determinations, techno-economic studies, as well as a thorough understanding of the impact of billing operations on reimbursement from public and private payors.

Prior to joining Presscott Associates in 2004, Mr. Fishbein was employed at New York – Presbyterian Hospital’s Rogosin Institute where, together with department heads and senior management, he tracked patient information flow, assessed the Institute’s HIPAA compliance and developed a HIPAA training program for employees. Mr. Fishbein has also worked with the faculty at Cornell University to examine the health and financial effects of particular surgical interventions. Mr. Fishbein had also been employed by Paine Webber for two summers where he assisted in the rollout of two new product lines: the VantageSM Program, tailored to meet the needs of high net worth investors, and the InsightOneSM brokerage account, which was the first non-discretionary account that did not charge transaction fees or commissions as well as offered access to online services.

Mr. Fishbein received his Master of Health Administration from Cornell University in 2004, Master of Science in Economics and Bachelor of Science in Economics with high honors from Lehigh University. He has been admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, allowing him to represent individuals and businesses before all administrative levels of the IRS. Mr. Fishbein is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association as well as Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Epsilon.
