NEIL M. PRESSMAN

President

Neil M. Pressman has a comprehensive background in numerous areas of healthcare management consulting. Prior to forming Presscott Associates in 1989, Mr. Pressman was employed as a Director for The Travelers Insurance Companies. He was one of the initial directors charged with creating a managed care network for The Travelers Insurance Companies. Mr. Pressman’s responsibilities included the development and operational management of alternative delivery systems throughout the Northeast and West Coast, which included Health Maintenance and Preferred Provider Organizations.

Currently, Mr. Pressman is responsible for managing projects in the practice areas of revenue cycle operations and improvement; managed care financial policy and reimbursement analysis; strategic planning; managed care contracting strategies; network development and integrated delivery systems; and operations management. In addition to these traditional services, he also lends assistance in the areas of payor coverage determinations for new medical technology, techno-economic studies, risk-sharing reimbursement methodologies, physician group practice services, and educational seminars and skills training. Furthermore, he has directed numerous projects for life sciences and technology companies that have resulted in the development of value-added services for their key provider customers.

Mr. Pressman’s previous experience also includes seven years in the healthcare management consulting practice with the "Big 8" accounting firms. There he was responsible for developing and managing complex engagements regarding financial and strategic planning, third-party reimbursement, marketing, operations, and claims processing, in various healthcare delivery settings (e.g., multi-hospital systems, continuing care retirement communities, and home healthcare).

Mr. Pressman received his Master of Business Administration in Health Administration and Operations Research from Temple University, Master of Science in Biochemistry from New York University and Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology from State University of New York at Buffalo. He is an active member of the American Hospital Association, the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) where he is an advanced member, and a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has served as the Regent for the State of Connecticut. Mr. Pressman has also conducted numerous presentations, pertaining to our provider, health plan and life sciences clients, to several professional associations including the ACHE, HFMA, AdvaMed, and several hospital associations.
