Brian J. Day has a broad array of experience with managed care organizations and multi-hospital integrated delivery networks, ranging from extensive financial modeling and analysis to business plan development to analysis and implementation of HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations. 

Currently, Mr. Day is working on projects in the practice areas of:  strategic planning and marketing; managed care contract negotiations; fee schedule risk sharing arrangements; managed care financial policy and reimbursement analysis; operations and utilization management; revenue cycle reengineering (including hospital chargemaster reviews) and educational seminars and skills training.  More specifically, he has worked on numerous projects for hospitals, health plans and life sciences companies that require extensive coding and billing expertise as well as a thorough understanding of the impact of billing operations on reimbursement from public and private payors.

Prior to joining Presscott Associates in 2003, Mr. Day was employed at Blanchard Valley Health Association (BVHA) headquartered in Ohio.  While at BVHA, Mr. Day worked closely with the senior management staff on a wide variety of financial, strategic, and operational initiatives.  At BVHA Mr. Day was responsible for acquisition of a new strategic business unit and spearheaded a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) arrangement.  Mr. Day’s experience in strategic planning includes development of directional strategies such as Mission, Vision, and Values as well as strategic environment scanning.  Previous to BVHA, Mr. Day was employed by HealthSmart Preferred Care, Inc. in Texas.  Mr. Day managed the HIPAA Privacy Rule implementation for this diverse managed care organization.
