Dennis J. Scotti, Ph.D. has a diverse and distinguished background in university education, academic research, and professional consulting focusing on the health care field.  Concurrent with his role at Presscott Associates, Dr. Scotti holds the prestigious Alfred E. Driscoll Professorship of Healthcare and Life Sciences Management at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU).  At FDU, he has developed and teaches a variety of graduate-level courses pertaining to medical care and pharmaceutical management, and also conducts research on a broad spectrum of health-related issues.Prior to joining the faculty at FDU, Dr. Scotti was on the faculty at Rutgers University.  He has also served as a health policy advisor to domestic and foreign governments, and is frequently invited to speak at national health care conferences and professional association meetings. 

In addition to providing executive-level guidance and shaping firm policy, Dr. Scotti has been actively involved in a variety of consulting activities for Presscott Associates since co-founding it in 1989.  Currently, Dr. Scotti is responsible for managing projects in the practice areas of strategic planning and marketing; economic value analysis of life sciences products,  administration of clinical trials,  and educational seminars.

Dr. Scotti received his Ph.D. in Health Planning and Policy from Temple University, M.S. in Health Care Financial Management from Temple University, M.B.A. in Medical Care Organization and Management from Adelphi University, and B.S. degrees in Biological Sciences and Chemistry from the State University of New York – University Center at Stony Brook.  In addition to his academic degrees, Dr. Scotti is professionally credentialed as a Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE), Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), and Certified Managed Care Professional (CMCP).  He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.  Dr. Scotti has authored numerous articles that have been published in journals such as Hospital and Health Services Administration, Journal of Healthcare Management, Healthcare Financial Management, Journal of Health and Human Services Administration, Journal of Healthcare Management, Advances in Health Care Research, Journal of Health Care Marketing, and Journal of Hospital Marketing & Public Relations.  His achievements are recognized in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in Medicine and Health Care and several other distinguished reference sources.
